PURSUE opens a public route into government UAP records

2026 news archive · Reported 8 May 2026 · UKPX added 4 November 2026

The US government’s PURSUE programme began publishing UAP material on 8 May 2026. Its full name, the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, describes the effort to bring records from different federal agencies into one public release system.

The programme followed the February instruction to identify and review UFO-related holdings. The official portal describes the task as one involving records spread across agencies and decades, including large quantities of paper material.

Its public interface separates release dates from incident dates and allows filtering by agency and file type. That distinction is essential: a document appearing in May 2026 may describe an encounter many years earlier. Its new availability is the news development.

The portal says its unresolved material is being made available while separate work on resolved cases continues. For a reader, the practical gain is access to the record itself: its author, date, redactions, account and any accompanying material.

UKPX’s archive follows the release programme as a sequence. Later batches and individual records warrant their own coverage when they add something substantive. A collection of files should not be read as a matching count of separate sightings; several documents or recordings can concern the same incident.

The official portal and its release tabs are linked below. Our existing October black-triangle report covers a later addition to the archive.
