Explore (New York, N.Y.) · Single-case EEG study

A study recorded EEG during a reported channeling experience and considered several possible interpretations. The authors describe the work as a starting point for more rigorous protocols.

Method and scope

One experienced channeler participated in a neurophysiological case study framed around fraud, pathology and extrasensory-perception hypotheses.

What to keep in mind

EEG from one participant cannot independently exclude deception or establish the external source of information. The authors themselves call for further evidence about ESP.
