Entropy · Kinematic analysis

The authors use reported aerial encounters to estimate possible motion characteristics. The paper provides a mathematical approach to asking what particular accounts would imply.

Method

Kinematic models turn reported timing, movement and distance information into estimates.

What to keep in mind

Calculated characteristics depend on the input observations and assumptions. They are not new, independently calibrated measurements of the encounters.
