Open mind : discoveries in cognitive science · Multimethod Ganzfeld study
Researchers examined Ganzfeld experiences using interviews, questionnaires, eye tracking and EEG. Reported visual changes were accompanied by bodily experiences and changes in attention.
Method and scope
Behavioural and neural measurements were compared with participants’ descriptions of perceptual fading and altered experience.
What to keep in mind
Associations between EEG patterns and subjective reports do not establish a unique cause. The study concerns perceptual experience, not a test of telepathy.
