Brain and behavior · Quasi-experimental remote-viewing study

Two participant groups completed different remote-viewing tasks while researchers examined emotional intelligence. The first group analysis was not significant; the second produced positive associations in the authors’ analysis.

Method and scope

One group of 347 participants used coordinate-based targets; another group of 287 used images of places. Statistical models examined task outcomes and emotional-intelligence measures.

What to keep in mind

The groups differed in beliefs and task format, so their outcomes are not a clean like-for-like comparison. The proposed emotional mechanism remains a hypothesis.
