Studies at Hampton Court Palace and Edinburgh’s South Bridge Vaults compared where visitors reported unusual experiences with the locations’ reputations and environmental conditions.
Method
Participants walked through the sites and reported experiences. Researchers compared those locations with factors including lighting and local magnetic variation.
What to keep in mind
Environmental correlations do not isolate one cause for every experience. The findings concern these studies and settings.
