Salmon Arm, October 2026: the Halloween report of two turning dark objects

Incident: 31 October 2026, approximately 10:00 local time, Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada. NUFORC report 202068, submitted the same day and posted 1 November.

Two dark shapes reportedly turned and climbed above Salmon Arm on Halloween morning. The surviving public material is a witness submission, not a completed investigative finding. Its useful details include a recognisable locality and two public versions that can be compared without multiplying the encounter count.

The NUFORC submission

The National UFO Reporting Center entry lists three observers and a duration of ten minutes near Piccadilly Mall. The witness described two dark, cube- or square-like forms, apparently approaching from the bay direction, turning and climbing towards cloud. No sound was reported.

The entry includes estimates of height, dimensions, distance and speed. These remain the witness’s estimates. Without an independently established range, the account cannot turn an apparent angular size into a measured physical size or altitude.

The regional version

The UFO*BC recent-sightings archive carries a closely matching Salmon Arm account for 31 October at about 10:01. It gives an approximate 15-minute duration and describes the reporter watching with his wife and others. The location, date and distinctive pair of objects make it appropriate to retain these versions as one source chain unless further evidence establishes separate observers or events.

The two duration estimates are not silently made identical: one record gives ten minutes, the other about fifteen. Such a difference can be preserved without inventing a second sighting to explain it.

Images and present status

The public entries refer to photographs, but UKPX could not complete a direct image-file inspection during this check. Direct NUFORC image retrieval was unavailable and the alternate archive’s embedded-file download was blocked. This page therefore makes no claim to have authenticated, enhanced or identified the photographed shapes.

The record supports the statement that an account was submitted promptly and published. It does not independently establish the material, distance, flight mechanism or origin of the reported objects. No official resolution or demonstrated object identification was found in the two source entries checked.

The welcome-sign photograph supplies locality context under its stated licence. It is not one of the witness photographs. The city point is checked against the British Columbia geographical-names record, avoiding other places and water features also called Salmon Arm.
