Incidents: 24 January and 7 February 2026, Rowtons Museum at Penuel Chapel, Carmarthen, Wales. These are venue-published investigation accounts, with attributed paranormal interpretations.
The chapel gallery, pews and night-lit interior form the setting for Rowtons Museum’s recent investigation material. Its public evidence page brings together a brief CCTV sequence and photographs from two separate nights. They are retained here as one venue case with explicitly dated episodes.

The January CCTV sequence
The museum’s paranormal stories and evidence page describes a quiet vigil on 24 January. It says Laura noticed a light above a participant’s head while checking the camera from the office, and interpreted its subsequent direction towards the altar as significant.
The public CCTV clip is approximately ten seconds long. UKPX reviewed twelve sampled frames: the overlay runs from 21:11:44 to 21:11:54 on 24 January, the participant changes posture, and a small bright feature appears in the sampled sequence. This was a sampled-frame review, not continuous-motion analysis or a test of the recording system.
The February photographs
For the 7 February members’ investigation, the venue credits Stuart Warner and Gayle Carey with photographs it interprets as figures. The published account discusses night-mode images and lighting in the gallery. UKPX inspected the two reproduced photographs: one contains visible coloured lighting and a greenish feature; another is largely dark with faint coloured forms.
Those are observations about the published images, not confirmation of the venue’s interpretation. Claims about neighbouring frames or experiences outside the supplied views remain part of the venue’s account. The photographers’ credits are retained in the source, but publication there does not grant UKPX permission to reproduce their images.
The chapel behind the account
The Coflein record for Penuel Chapel, NPRN 6238, places the building on Priory Street, Carmarthen. Its history includes an eighteenth-century origin, later rebuilding and a 1910 facade. It would be misleading to treat the facade date as the beginning of the entire chapel’s history, or to use a building date as the year of these modern incidents.
The museum’s own description provides the current collection context. The licensed exterior photograph predates the museum and is included only to identify the public building.
What has and has not been established
The venue supplies dated claims and publicly inspectable excerpts. UKPX has not carried out an on-site camera, lighting or environmental test, interviewed the participants independently, or authenticated original camera files. The account is presented as a recent investigation record, with the museum’s interpretations attributed and the review scope stated.
Both episodes belong to 2026. The page does not convert the chapel’s older traditions into additional recent incidents, nor count several photographs from one night as separate cases.
Location and source record
Public Penuel Chapel locality reference, rounded from the geolocated exterior photograph and checked against Coflein’s chapel identity; not a claimed position of an apparition. Coordinates follow the checked geographical reference.
